How often should I have my Heating System or Central Air conditioning
checked?
A. They should be checked annually to ensure proper reliability, efficiency,
and safety
How often should I change my Air Filter?
A. The Air Filter should be checked once a month and either cleaned or
replaced if necessary.
My Heating and Air Conditioning system are both new, do I still need to
get it cleaned?
A. Yes even though your system is new it still needs annual maintenance
performed. Many manufacturers require a certified technician to perform
an annual maintenance to keep the warranty in effect. This also will give
you the comfort of knowing your system is running at peak efficiency and
running safe.
How often should I add refrigerant to my Air Conditioning
Sysytem?
A. Your Air conditioning system is a sealed system and should never need
Freon. If you are adding Freon there is a leak that should be looked
at and serviced.
Why would I want to install a humidifier?
A. During the winter months when we heat our houses the air is very dry.
This causes the skin to be dry and we feel cooler thus raising the thermostat
to “feel” warmer. Adding a humidifier provides moisture to
the air allowing the body to feel warmer and in turn possibly lowering
the thermostat saving in heating costs. Adding a humidifier as an added
benefit adds moisture to the woodwork and furniture to help prevent drying
out and cracking.
Why would I change my Heating or AC System if its
working properly?
A. Most older systems are running at 60% efficiency and lower and can be
costly to fix as there are multiple items to break down. Todays systems
are running at 95%+ efficiency and can reduce your utility costs greatly
as well as save dollars in service calls. Replacing your system with
a high efficiency unit can also give you a tax break and there are also
many manufacturer rebates out there. The new system will also raise the
value of your home and leave you with peace of mind that you are getting
the most efficiency for your money spent.
Does Chambers Heating & AC Service accept major
credit cards?
A. Yes we accept MasterCard and Visa |
